I said I wouldn't post more pictures of my feet, but I just couldn't help being barefoot for a moment. These are the tulips I planted when I first bought my house almost 6 years ago. In my adult life and even most of my pre-adult life, I have never lived anywhere very long. When I was married to the husband I am now writing inventory on, we moved so much, I never really knew where we would be the next day or month. At that time I longed to live somewhere long enough to plant bulbs in the fall and be there when the flowers came up in the spring. Now I have seen these tulips come up for six springs."As individuals and as a fellowship, we shall surely suffer if we cast the whole job of planning for tomorrow onto a fatuous idea of providence. God's real providence has endowed us human beings with a considerable capability for foresight, and He evidently expects us to use it. Of course, we shall often miscalculate the future in whole or in part, but that is better than to refuse to think at all." -- As Bill Sees It, p. 317
