I do believe I did run hard enough on Saturday to cause pain on Sunday, because I still have it on Monday. I do also believe that I was tired enough to feel sick on Sunday. I am grateful that I had the opportunity for some serious "sofa time" yesterday, including a 2 hour nap. The best kind of nap, with a football game as background music for my dreams.
A sponsee called yesterday afternoon. Imagine my surprise when she said "I am sitting in your driveway, do you mind if I come in?" That was a wonderful surprise. She has been my sponsee for a long time and I just treasure our relationship.
Yesterday I finished the knitting portion of the baby blanket I am making for someone, and then purchased fabric for a backing. It wasn't what I had planned, but I was unable to find what I thought I was going to use. What I found is flannel, and it is bright. The turquoise is for the back, the red is for a piping around the edge. I am considering driving to the other side of town after work tonight to another specialty fabric store to see if I can find something I like more. Any opinions? (see, I am capable of asking for opinions - about some things!)
As always, on Monday morning, I am grateful to be going back to work. I am also grateful that Veteran's Day falls on Wednesday and I will have the day off. There is so much that is good in this world, but I really must turn off the news to be able to see it.

The blue flannel looks good, it might be a tad bright for the rest of the blanket. Have you washed it with a little bleach? I am sure you could find something at that fabric store, if not for this application, then for something else.
High class problems are good, eh?
I have NO opinions on fabric.
I'm glad you got the rest and recovery you needed.
Good luck with the blanket. When my opinions are needed on such matters, they are given to me ;-).
Blessings and aloha...
I haven't watched the news ever since my husband I seperated. He was always the big news watcher. Honestly, my life is so much better without it. You are right, the good shines through so much easier.
Love it!
and you, and a world minus the news, which I just experienced.
I would believe Dave...he can barely match his clothes when Hayden is gone.
i was going to second dave and write that i have no opinions on fabric, but then an opinion popped in my head. i like the bright blue, especially for a baby blanket. newborns love bright colors
OK, first, I screwed up, as you know, tonight is the big game against Pittsburgh. I hope Denver wins. Love the fabrics, however, I would also have to drive to the specialty fabric store because that's just the kind of fabric junkie I am.
I hear babies like bright colors. But then I shouldn't believe all I hear...
I am envious of the sponsees you have. I rarely get any that stay *in* longer than a few years. Currently have one, wayward woman who just met a guy. We know what that means.
Enjoy your sponsee, your knitting and your sofa time!
I don't watch much news any more... I read the local papers lol. It's a function of my career change and the fact that the news simply isn't any good any more.
Did you try Denver Fabrics? 2777 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO 80123
They have one of the best collections of cottons around. Also there is a little fabric store at the South East corner of Colorado and County line: Home Decorator, but they are a little pricier. They are running a 20% off sale I think till the end of the month.
