46 degrees at 5:28 a.m.

This is my banana, coffee, and motrin. I had them all moments ago. I expect to feel good enough to run in about a half hour. It is 46 degrees outside, which will be wonderful. A neighbor told me about a place to run where the paths are plowed and dry. I am going to go there this morning. For some reason, running on the treadmill is almost impossible with my tailbone injury. I ran 3 painful miles yesterday and then was in pain all day. Amazingly, I ran 10 miles on Monday, on a snow-packed trail, and had no residual pain at all.

Thank you for all of your suggestions yesterday about the food for night watch. I think I decided to purchase a spiral cut ham. I can't think of anyone in my group who is Jewish or Muslim, so it ought to be OK. There will be plenty of other food anyway. As I thought about chili and pasta and soup, I imagined people sitting on my sofa eating it, and I think it would be nearly impossible. There will be only a few places to sit at a table and eat, so I think sandwiches will be good.

About the parking: I shoveled some last night, but still don't even have one parking place carved out in front of my house. It is supposed to get into the 50s today, and then SNOW. Yep, more snow. But we are only supposed to get 2 to 4 inches, which sounds like nothing at this point. I will trust God that it will work out exactly the way it is supposed to.

"We were now at Step Three. Many of us said to our Maker, as we understood Him: 'God, I offer myself to Thee - to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that vicotry over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, and Thy Way of Life. May I do Thy will always!" -- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 63

Y'all don't know the meaning of warm. I just got back from my barely-2-mile run and feel like I'm either going to vomit, faint or die. (It's only about 80 degrees here, but the humidity is what make it so bad.)

The spiral cut ham is a GREAT idea, MC. I know what you mean about chili or soup on the couch. Definitely not a good idea (wasn't thinking about that when I suggested them). And, if you're being gracious enough to play hostess, can't some burly guys come over and shovel snow for you? They could do that and not have to bring anything to eat.

Except Cheetos, of course. :D

Ah the clasic BC&M diet. Done it myself for many years(although I only run when someone is chasing me).

Girl, where do you get your energy? That is so fantastic. If you see me running....shoot the guy right behind me.

No matter what there always seems to be lots of left overs. These things just work themselves out.

You have a great percpetion about running, can I borrow some of it?
