Forty-Nine Degrees

Really.  It is 49º right now, and pouring rain.  Pretty awesome.  I need to be at church by 6:30, and I will get to wear long pants!  and a sweater!  and maybe my raincoat!  How exciting.  After record breaking heat all summer - this is probably record breaking cold.

So I don't have time to contemplate what I want to write about today.  Except to say that I am looking forward to today.  Starting with church, then to work, then to who-knows-what!  Tomorrow is a half day retreat to kick off biblical school.  I am starting my second year of a 4 year program and I couldn't be more excited about that!   Sunday is our group's annual picnic, so you know I will have a pie baking morning on Sunday.  It is all so good.

By the Grace of a Loving God and the Program of Alcoholics Anonymous, I get to do stuff like go to church and bake pies!  Thank you!

I wish that it were 49 degrees here. It's supposed to hit 91 today. I like the South but the heat and humidity can really be oppressive. This weekend it's supposed to be a low of 71. I might survive on the boat. Have a good Friday night and a great weekend.

OMG freezing weather in August! I had the AC on full blast this morning in the car driving in!
I can not believe it has already been one year down in your biblical school, it just seems like a few months.
Enjoy your friday little pie crust girl.

My sponsor's "pigeon" (me!) likes warm APPLE pie--American style--w vanilla bean cold stuff melting on top...8 oz HERSHEY BARS aren't bad, either!

I like Syd's trying to survive--on the BOAT! Real tough place, but Syd will make it. I did! Still don't know how, though...

49 deg., that settles it. We'll be out there in July NOT August 2009. Actually, we might stay around in them mountains for a month or so.

I wants me a pineapple cream pie. Do you think the Colorado Pie Angel could whip one up for and old alkie from Texas. Enjoy your day.

The weather here is so bad that the picnic has been canceled. It will be next weekend. 50º and raining does not make good weather for a picnic.
