Day before the Triathlon

I am heading out to a 6:30 meeting (Sunrise Serenity in Lakewood) and then will meet up with my daughters to get our race packets. I am so excited about the race. We will spend most of today just getting everything ready. I jacked up my back somehow on Wednesday, but managed to run 2 miles in my best time ever yesterday anyway. Today I might take a slow bike ride, a slow swim, or even a walk. I will get moving in some way, but not in any hugely taxing way. Hopefully by tomorrow my back will be better. I don't think the pain will interfere with my "performance" in the race even if it doesn't go away.

Carla B. (Lush for Life) was going to be in Denver, I was hoping we could get together for a meeting this morning, but it looks like we have missed each other.

"God, I offer myself to Thee - to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy Power, Thy Love, Thy Way of life. May I do Thy will always!" -- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 63

I know that I'm not alone in wishing you the best of luck in the race. You'll forget about and won't even notice any little pains that may exist.
Because of your program of recovery, I know that you will do your best and will be pleased with that, whatever it looks like. God's Will Be Done.

Going to a meeting is a great way to prepare for the race. It seems to lighten the load.
