I'm Tired!

I didn't want to get up this morning, but I did anyway. I will get on with the day and the week. I think I need to remember that the week after a huge race is just hard. I have been so focused on the race, and indeed, it was wonderful, but now what?

I went shopping at lunch yesterday and purchased a new outfit to wear to my neighbor's wedding on Saturday. That was an easy and temporary lift to my spirits. But, as with most things that are material and not spiritual in nature, it did not last.

I need to get ready for work and just get on with it. Thank God for the AA way of life. I learned early on that it really doesn't matter how I feel, what matters is what I do.

Get a pedicure! Again, just temporary, but you'll feel happy every time you see your newly prettied toes, so it does last a bit longer than the shopping high. And it's a great way to pamper yourself a little - taking care of YOU!

It's the Expectation/Fulfillment thing. I'm gonna write a book. My Dad will probably use me and take all my profits.....;)

oh man, that looks wonderful... the sleeping fitfully thing.... looks wonderful... It is kinda funny how when we focus on a certain event or thing, and it's over and done, its like um, ok what now? You'll find something!

it's good to know that stuff doesn't make the world go round, but it is nice to pick up somethin nice for oneself once in a while!

I just love that quote. Just the idea of holding my face up to the light makes me feel better. In reality, life is as tough as we make it, it's living a life that is in direct line with God's will always that is the hard thing for me to practice daily.
