Saturday Morning

I managed to run 4 miles this morning which brings my total for the month of September to 17.55. My goal for September was 45 miles, but it looks like I am going to be able to surpass it. I think this is very exciting.

I am going to hop in the tub and then eat a nice breakfast. I may take a nap later! I was up quite late last night.

I am boring this morning, but boring is good. It means there are no big deals going on and that is a very good thing for this alcoholic.

"once an alcoholic fully realizes that he cannot get well alone, he will somehow find a way to get well and stay well in the company of others. It has been that way from the beginning of AA and probably always will be so." -- As Bill Sees It, p. 312

I like that you set those types of goals. You really are such a great example to follow. I love you and am grateful that I have people like you to set examples for me.

Boring is good.

What is wrong with boring

congrats on your accumulation of miles run. This past week and a half,I have had some sort of creeping crud sucking the life out of me. I have allowed that (along with a super busy schedule, and the usual lack of motivation for such things) to keep me from riding my bike like I was. I am hoping this too shall pass soon.

Good for you MC, hope you enjoyed some well earned R n R.

Good morn MC :) In regards to the quote from As bill sees it, I remember a time in my life when to get well and stay well meant something completly different. Today I'm grateful that it does not even remotly mean the same thing. Thanks.
