September's Goal Met!

My downloaded run information for September. I met my goal of 60 miles! The most I have ever run in a month before this was 45 miles (in August). I am very excited about this. And I LOVE Nike + iPod!
Look at the leaves on my front lawn this morning!
The beginning of sunrise as I headed back from my run this a.m.

As I took a picture of the sunrise, I was taken by the beautiful silence of the morning. I said a prayer of thanks for it.

"In the morning we think of the hours to come. Perhaps we think of our day's work and the chances it may afford us to be useful and helpful, or of some special problem that it may bring." -- Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, p. 102

ohh great 12X12 quote... thanks for sharing that one.... and Congrats on your running total for the month, you go girl. I have not made exercise the priority I should and hence, I have slacked off a bit, but I am still shrinking, jsut not as quickly, or as "fit-ly" lol

peace to you, my friend...

It is really something to welcome a new day (sobriety), vs. dread it because it will be exactly the same hell the day before was (drinking). Thanks for the beautiful post, and congrats on your running goals!

60 miles is a fantastic achievement! Congratulations!

'The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step' ...

... and the running of 60 miles over a month, when you have work and family and a hundred other calls on your time, starts with a determination that few people have! I'm feeling strong today. I'm not aiming for 60 miles, but I am going to take my first step on my own thousand mile journey.

you go for it :) Cool.
I LOVE sunrise. It has to be the most serene point of a day,bet that is why nature intended for us humans to wake up in the morning instead of the night..lol
Thanks for sharing~
