Lovely post. Just what I needed. Life is a bit stressful right now, and I'm so grateful recovery (and others in recovery)keep me from making it complicated on top of that! Simple, simple, simple--don't drink, go to meetings, pay attention to HALT, lighten up, do what you can, throw in a little gratitude and the day is fine!
oh man, they forgot to tell me not to think! geesh!! I wish I had gotten sober in your neck of the woods, it probably would have been alot less chaotic in my head.

That's a good lookin' book!
Thank God it WORKS!
I am still working on the sponsor part. Wrote about it today. Otherwise, so far, so good.
It does work and there is living proof!
funny, we talked about the exact same list of thingsd to do in early recovery with our newcomer last nite at home group, and it STILL works!

Mary Christine, do you have more years of sobriety than your sponsor?
Or does it matter at this point in your sobriety?
Willa
497 days sober

Willa, my sponsor has been sober 34 years. She is the most amazing woman and I love her!
