The less I do...

The less I want to do. When I was a teenager, my uncle told me that if you want something done, ask the busiest person you know to do it. That made no sense to me then. But I have realized the truth in that as I have aged.

This is my last day of vacation. I am glad. I have enjoyed it immensely, but I have watched my energy level decrease by the day. Last night I went to bed at 7:30 - and slept until 5: 30 this morning. I miss my normal self who does so much and still has time to do some more.

I am now off to an AA meeting, then I will go to the gym, then I need to finish my homework for my class tonight.

"True humility and an open mind can lead us to faith, and every AA meeting is an assurance that God will restore us to sanity if we rightly relate ourselves to Him." -- Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions, p. 33

I guess I was meant to be retired. I'm good at it. I stay as busy as when I worked.
I.
I.
I.
It's All About I.

"I" is so misused today. Makes me crazy. I have misused my own I over the years, eventually drowning it with tequila.

I like being busy when I can do it at a slow pace.

Just curious, has Mickey left any comments since you instigated the comment moderation? I had to activate it on Sobriety Society, too.

Putting humility first, I just got to! Thank you for that quote from the 12 x 12. Good stuff.

Looks like you will appreciate having your routine back. :)

Nice quote from the 12+12.

My first boss used to tell me that if you want to get something done, give to as busy person as busy people get things done. Apparently. :)

I find that when I'm busy, I'm better. Being busy can mean a lot of different things though--sometimes actively working or sometimes just having a mind that's working.
