Winter Storm Warning

It started snowing in the last hour.  We are supposed to get a bunch of snow.  The weather channel calls it a blizzard warning.  Others are calling it a winter storm warning.  We shall see.  I need to get to work and pack a bag - just in case I need to stay.

I still have two more days of this big event at work.  People are coming by my office (on the rare occasion that I am there) to sympathize... I am having the time of my life.  When I tell them that, they look at me like I am nuts.  But I feel energized by the challenge and the work.  I feel energized by knowing how important this is.  I feel happy that I get to do this.

I think I will stay sober all 24 hours today, care to join me?

March is not going to go out like a lamb then. We always had our worst snows in March when I was in Virginia. Good luck. I know what you mean about being energized by the work. I like crunch time myself.

Why would snow fall in March?
Maybe there is a UFO flying over your city and they are flushing out their systems.
I feel very energized during stress too....watch out for the downside when it's over.

I would not want to spend the night at work.

I always get a kick out of folks who try to predict our snow pack in December or January. Up until recently, we got ~80% of our snow in March and April - seems like weather patterns are changing though...

It's great to have a purpose in work - glad you've found yours for this 24...

I'll join you in staying sober, but NOT in the snow!

So, you spend the night at work every night silly goose. You work from home. Someone told me that we have a storm to "watch" next week. That was what the weather gal on TV said. Egads.

aah, spring :). I celebrate 7 years sober tomorrow, and its always a gamble-- will the ground be thawed enough for me to pull up the (frozen) Christmas ornaments yet, or do I give up & put bunny ears on the penguin?? Hope you don't get snowed in!

Yep, I'll join you in the 24-hour thing, Mary. And I'd really LOVE to be in the snow--for about 1-2 hours tops, that's IT.

The accreditation thing you are, as usual, on your own--besides, you're getting paid the bucks!
