And after felting... they look slightly misshapen, they need to be poked and prodded to shape until they are dry. They should be dry by Saturday morning when they need to leave for Montana.
Last night my sponsor and I had a long talk. It ended with us both crying and declaring our love for one another. I feel like a stranger in a strange land right now, and amazingly enough, so does she. I am so grateful to have a kindred soul in my life. Actually there are a couple of them. But not many.
I have just erased 2 paragraphs, so I think I will just shut up and get on with my day.
Let's stay sober today, OK?
And if you need to talk to someone, feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I would love to hear from you.

The slippers and mittens are neat. They will be needed in Montana!
I've "felt" the need to talk to you several times. I like the slippers and mittens. My mother made mittens for me as a kid. I still have them. And she made really neat ski hats too. I have those as well. And use one on the boat when it's cold.
How Awesome!
I have so many blessings, so many "kindred spirits" (to coin a phrase from a favorite book of mine.)
I know so many people who have that same Light inside of them that I feel inside of me, and I know ever so many more whose Light also shines, different colors, different facets, but still necessary in the rainbow I want to live in!
:)
My sponsor and I always promise each other that we won't die. I don't know why we do this silly thing, but we are both scared of life without the other.
I find it so interesting what humans invent. Who figured out all those complicated knitting techniques? There is stuff all around us. Someone was paid to design it, manufacture it, and so much of it ends up in the landfill.
Those knitted items though, will be worn out I am sure.
The knitted items and felted items are gorgeous, what a gift you have not just for the creative life, but the writing life. I so apprecite the "kindred" spirits on the blogging world and you are so amazing to me...thank you!

Yes, MC. I'd like to chat a moment but not about mittens and slippers.
What are mittens? -g-
You're one of my favourite on line recovery people. Hugs to you across the (frozen) miles today.
