Chatty Cathy
Today Scott posted a picture of the toy he wanted for Christmas and never got. The above is the doll I wanted and never got. If I had gotten her, I would probably not still remember her, nearly 50 years later. I wish I were a better person than that, but I am not.
It is snowing and 5º outside. My daughter is shoveling the driveway, which is the kindest thing in the world. She loves winter even more than I do.
Today I am going to do homework (for Biblical School), cook a big huge honkin grandma meal of baked ham and potatoes au gratin, etc., watch football, see who comes over for dinner/lunch, and write a few Christmas cards.
Side note on the side bar: I have removed the followers on the sidebar. I just realized that having them there makes all those poor unsuspecting souls a target. I don't want my friends to be targets, so feel free to follow away, but you can do so in anonymity... which sounds kind of familiar, doesn't it?

I had a Chatty Cathy doll and I hated it. I never did like dolls hence didn't like kids until I birthed one. Needless to say I love them now, especially the grandkids!!!!
Sounds like a wonderful(but cold) day ahead. I want some of that ham.
I think I'll remove the followers from my blog too. Something about it just doesn't sit well with me.
I just came across your post on George Best. Sad, but thanks.
The photo doesn't show up on my computer, but I know the doll well. So had one, as she mentioned above, and it had these gross separated teeth that just grossed me out!
Scott, you really need to look at this video...

My name is Talking Tina!
I just watched that whole Twilight Zone show (living doll) - it is on You Tube. Very cool. I don't remember ever seeing it before.
Some day I'll have to "do" You Tube. Right now it's all I can do to check our a dozen blogs a day and comment. Whew. Where do you guys get the time?
Also I could not get Chatty Cathy, just could not open CD83.jpg--has it been taken off?
I loved my Thumbalina doll, she had a knob on her back to wind up and her head went back and forth and her body moved slowly! My favorite was the plastic milk bottles that when you turned them sideways it looked like the milk was disapearing.
I had the Davy Crockett outfit. I must have looked really funny in that.
