Honest Award

Pammie has given me this honesty award.  Now when someone gives me an award for being sweet or cute or some other, I am thankful, but I wonder if they have really read me.  This one, I can take to heart, because if there is one thing I know I am, it is honest.  And that's the truth!

There are rules.
List 10 honest things about yourself.
Pass the award on to 7 bloggers
Do a bunch of links

1.  I have never figured out how to cut and paste into blogger on my mac.
2. I am in a hurry this morning and don't have time to do this properly.
3. I am a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
4. My sobriety date is July 24, 1984.
5. I don't know why my favorite bloggers live in Houston - what is up with that?
6. I bought a new TV on my lunch break yesterday, I shouldn't go out with credit cards when I am in a bad mood.
7. I think I am ready to throw in the towel on looking "young." I fear it may make me look more "desperate" than "young."
8. I have a hair appointment tomorrow and I may end up with short gray/brown hair by tomorrow evening.
9.  I wish the fact that people I know in my real life read my blog didn't change what I write, but it does.
10.  I am going to an AA meeting this morning at 6:30 and for that I am truly grateful.  I am taking a sponsee out for dinner tonight to celebrate her 13th AA birthday and for that I am truly grateful.  I have a life full of AA fellowship and love, and for that I am truly grateful.

Thank you Pammie for the award.  I am awarding:
Hope
Syd
Scott
Dave
and Wendy - my anonymous reader.

I'm grateful for your honesty. It is going the way of integrity, loyalty, and respect for elders.

But I think if we lived together I would have to kill you.

LOL...Oh I think Lou really did mean that with GREAT humor. If I lived with you I would be as big as a house from your fabulous cooking. I would secretly wear your great shoe collection when you were out of the house. I would make up outlandish stories about where you are when people called and most of all I would get to go with you to your one hour prayer thing you do each week.

I love the part that says 'Do a bunch of links'

Did you DO a bunch of links?

I'm making the assumption that I am your not-so-anonymous anonymous reader named Wendy. Thanks for giving me something to blog about tomorrow, that will free up some space to think about other things today. (which is, of course, just what I needed)

I struggle with #9 also.

Perhaps tomorrow I'll post and then not comment anonymously. A novel idea.

Hope you have a good day.

Bloggers should be honest in their writings. Their readers expect that. I appreciate your honesty. Been searching for blogsite that deals with alcoholism and the likes. I, too, quit on drinking too much and decided to make an online journal to be able to release my inner self. I look forward to read more from you. I am living here in the Philippines and my site was written in Filipino. But I am plannning to switch it to English language. Hope you could give me some pointers and tips on how to bring the issue to my readers and help them to quit too. Thank you very much.
