Happy Birthday to dAAve!

Happy Birthday to Daave! I am so glad he lived through all the adventures of his life and is now a sober member of Alcoholics Anonymous, and he doesn't smoke either! I am also grateful that we get to be bloggers together out here in the blogosphere - he makes it a better place for sure.

"Yes, there is a substitute and it is vastly more than that. It is a fellowship in Alcoholics Anonymous. There you will find release from care, boredom and worry. Your imagination will be fired. LIfe will mean something at last. The most satisfactory years of your existence lie ahead. Thus we find the fellowship, and so will you." -- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 152

I love it that you captured that picture and posted it. Now if we can just get his fingers to slow down.

I like your photo blog too, MC. I am not an alcoholic, but I am a sugaraholic, bookbuying/jewelry/shoppingaholic and obsessive compulsive. Quite surprised I'm not an alcoholic since my Dad was and I have every trait set up for it. Anyway, I have always related to AA and I just love your blog. It is inspiring my current recovery of growing into whom I can be.

Thanks for the reminder, MC! I love that photo of dAAve. He soooo looks like Kid Rock in it! I'm absolutely sure Kid stole his look from dAAve.

Nowhere in the 12 steps does it say that you should quit drinking, or help anyone else to quit drinking, either. Nowhere do the words SOBRIETY, RECOVERY, ABSTINENCE, HEALTH, HAPPINESS, JOY, & LOVE appear in the 12 Steps. The word ‘alcohol’ is only used once, when it was PATCHED into the 1st Step for the word “sin.” But Wilson wrote “ We are powerless over ‘alcohol’… Oxford Group Slogan; “We are powerless over sin & have been defeated by it.

You have joined a “satanic cult,” [AA] Christine!! Get out now, before AA & all these other demons [BLOGGERS], steal your soul. Trust in Jesus!!
