36 Hours

It took an hour and a half to shovel this wet, heavy snow.

Poor Saint Francis, he is buried in snow.

This is the scene I posted yesterday.  The little angel is totally covered now.
It's been snowing for 36 hours and it is still coming down.  I am ready to get back out in the world.  I have a hair appointment this morning and since she hasn't called me, I am going to assume we are on.  I will enjoy being out of here.

I have been knitting a pair of socks and talking on the phone.  But there is a limit to how long that is entertaining.  I think I hit that limit last night.  Funny, it still doesn't seem like a great idea to clean out closets or my desk.  Maybe by the end of today.

Thank God that in a life of sobriety, there are not many urgent needs.  I have enough food in the house.  I don't smoke.  And I don't need to go out and get more booze.  I might have been in trouble without yarn and needles though!

I love hair appointments! Why not post a pic of your hair without your face.

Well, you know what I mean.

XOXO

One of my secret life goals is to learn how to make socks! Someone showed me a website tutorial....I just need to do it. I think I am afraid of getting lost and not being able to so I haven't tried....yet. You know how you make something HUGE in your head?

We have had NO snow yet this year and I am missing it. I love those days we get to stay home, especially in bad weather.

I hope you get to the hairdresser though. That always feels so good.

I love snow. The more the merrier, but we never get so much here that I feel trapped. Have a good venture out and enjoy taking care of you. Isn't the freedom from active addiction liberating!

Ooooh, snow!!!! I am so blissfully happy just seeing your pics and remembering what it looks like. Sigh. Hope some of it decides to drop by brooklyn at some point. Would love to make at least one snow angel. :-)

So much snow! Take care when you go out or drive anywhere.

A blessing to be free of that urgency and compulsion to have things we don't need --
