Off to the Race

Who has two running dresses to choose from?  Me.  I am leaning towards the brown one.  In fact, I have it on right now.  I will let my daughter decide which one I should wear.  Who wears a dress to a trail race?  Me.  See on the brown one,  you can barely make out that brown line in the middle?  That is the flap on the pocket.  There is a pocket across the back, like a bike shirt.  That is why I am wearing a dress to a trail race.

It is my first trail race and I am a bit afraid.  These people are hard-core.  I may very well come in last in the half marathon.  But there will still be 50K and 50 milers out there, so it will be OK.  I woke up with the thought of something else to be afraid of at 2 a.m., and it kept me up for almost an hour.  If that should happen, it will happen.  I will tell you what it is after the race.

I'm so excited!  I just can't hide it!  I'm about to lose control.... not I'm not!

I'm safely in the loving hands of God - where I place myself each day with my first waking breath.

Wish me good luck.

Thanks!

Thanks Everyone. I wore brown. It was the most fun race. Also the hardest half I have ever done. LOTS of hills - hard core hills. Trails, my feet are TRASHED. I think I came in last and I don't even care! I had the best time!

Take care of feet, Mary--only two of them. I usually can find mine--in my mouth.

Glad you had a good time MC. Sorry the time zone differences made me too late to wish you good luck. I think I slept through your race!!

Still love reading your posts. Thanks for letting us into your life.

I'm anxious to hear how the trails were! No matter what, I know you were cute while on them.
