Trick or Treat

The flowers were a treat yesterday.  My fella brought them over.  I had decided before our date that if he didn't bring me flowers we were going to have to have "a talk."  I was so happy to see the flowers, because I really didn't want to have that talk.

We watched the Broncos game - and that was not a treat.  Unless you were a Lions fan (and if you were, you don't need to rub it in).

And now I am back to the work-a-day routine.  I need to get in a couple of miles on the treadmill and get to work.  I hope to hear some good news this week.  Life changing good news.

I intend to stay sober today and I hope you all do too.  And that is indeed a treat!

What would this talk have been about? About how you need flowers? Just tell him you like flowers! We don't read minds.

Any serious talk that can be thwarted by the bestowal of Gerbera Daisies is either not that serious, or there's a very strange priority I don't understand.

He hadn't given me flowers for a month or two (he knew I went gaga over them each time I got them)... and he has been out of town all the time... I felt under-appreciated and wondered if this was going anywhere. The flowers told me a lot.

And I hate to sound like a stereotypical "woman," but if I have to tell someone to bring me flowers, they aren't going to be a happy surprise.

Well, I am glad that he brought you flowers. And they are nice ones. Hope that you have a happy day, Halloweening or not.

Flowers yes.

I hope your news is really good. But if it's not, at least your recovery is.

C'mon! Even the Lions get lucky sometime. Let us have our short lived day of glory.

Well, if he knows you like them, then he should make it a point of regular gifts, sure.
